Without volunteers, this production would not be possible! We love all of our volunteers and all of the hard work you put into this day! Please make sure that when you volunteer for a position, that you are available to be at the event during the allotted time. If you volunteer and you can no longer attend, you must contact us a minimum of two weeks before August 3 to ensure that the day goes as smoothly as possible for these most deserving young ladies! After volunteering, you will receive a confirmation e-mail and more information during the month of July. Thank you again for your interest in Miss Beautiful!

Sign-ups will also be available at the East Brainerd Church of Christ on June 23rd and 30th. During this time, more positions will be available regarding decorating committees!
Buddy of the Day
Volunteer Positions

As a "buddy of the Day", you will be assigned a participant to stay with from the time they arrive until they leave at the end of the evening. You will need to be available at approximately 2:00 pm for a mandatory volunteer meeting and be able to stay until approximately 8:30pm when the pageant is over.

As a Buddy, you will escort your participant through all stations while she is pampered in style. This includes eating dinner with her, helping her get changed for the pageant and stay with her during the pageant until she is reunited with her family. You truly will leave with a new best friend! Although this can be a challenging position to hold, it will be one of the most rewarding times of your life!

Make-Up Artist, Manicurist or Hair Stylist

During the course of the day, each participant will rotate through various stations so they can be pampered and treated like a princess! Keep in mind, you do not have to be a professional to hold one of these positions! As a volunteer for one of these stations, you will need to be available at approximately 2:00 pm until approximately 4:40 pm. If you have supplies you can bring, this would be a huge help! (Ex: Brush, curling iron, glitter hairspray, nail polish, foundation, mascara, blush, etc) If you do not have supplies, please let us know so that we provide enough products for these ladies! After the last group of participants leave your station, we invite you to stay for dinner and the pageant!

Rehearsal/Backstage Crew

During the day, the girls will go through stations. One station will be a rehearsal station! This volunteer position is designed to help the participants feel comfortable as they practice walking down the pink carpet and across the stage. We need people who are willing to guide participants during this walk through and during the pageant itself. Volunteers will be stationed inside the auditorium as well as in the Waiting Room where the girls will stay during the pageant when they aren't on stage. There will be a stage director who will coordinate these volunteers and position them in the places that they will be most effective for the pageant to run smoothly. You should be available at approximately 2:00 pm for a mandatory volunteer meeting till approximately 8:30 pm when the pageant is over.

18 Spots Available, Male Only
We are looking for young men, middle school through young adult, that will volunteer their time to walk our participants down the pink carpet and assist them on and off stage during the pageant. These young men add a true spark of excitement for these ladies! This volunteer position is truly thrilling and rewarding. Being an escort may mean you have to roll with the punches when something unexpected happens, which is why a sense of humor is a must! These girls love to be silly, but some will be shy and may need extra care to get them out of their shell! Having an escort by their side means the world to these girls! Please be prepared to wear a suit or shirt and tie and be available from 5:30 pm till approximately 8:30 pm.

Judge

Each judge will have a front row seat to watch each participant strut across stage with a big smile on their face! There is no need to stress or worry, EVERY participant receives a title! Your job is to simply take notes of what sets each girl a part and decide which provided title fits each participant the best! At the conclusion of the talent portion of the pageant, we will break for a short 10 minute intermission where the judges will deliberate and assign each girl their own title. You should be available from 5:30 pm to approximately 8:30 pm.

We love for our participants to leave the day with a little gift from us! This year, we would like to do a "spa" themed bag! We need one of each item for each participant. We will let you know by mid-July the total number of participants. Items should be given to us by July 21. Thanks for making this day special for our participants!

Participant Gift Bags
We like to offer a hospitality area to our volunteers throughout the day, as well as for our guests for the evening of the pageant. Donations should arrive at the building by noon on August 3. If you can help in this area by providing any of the following, it would be greatly appreciated! Homemade or store bought is fine!

We are looking for fun and energetic individuals to arrive at 5:30 on August 3 to welcome our guests! The welcoming committee will help by handing out programs, directing people into the auditorium and offering a warm "hello" as our audience members arrive for the big event!
