Who We Are
The Miss Beautiful Pageant for Special Needs started in 2013 and we are so excited to be going on our eighth year! The Pageant is located in Chattanooga, Tennessee at the East Brainerd Church of Christ. Since the beginning, it has always been our goal to provide an atmosphere where differences are not only loved, but appreciated. Each year we have an average of 25 participants with an average of 80 volunteers who dedicate their entire day to making this a magical experience for our ladies.

WHAT WE DO
Upon arrival, each Miss Beautiful participant will be paired with what we like to call a "buddy of the day."A buddy of the day is a female volunteer whose main focus is to be a friend and helping hand to their participant from the very beginning to the very end of the day. Once the participant has checked in, we immediately start our stations! Each lady will go through four stations where they will be pampered from head to toe! These stations include: hair, nails, make-up, and a rehearsal station. After our stations, we provide dinner and then it's time to change for the most anticipated time of the day, the pageant! Each lady will participate in the Beauty Walk where they will get to walk down the pink carpet with an escort by their side! After the Beauty walk, they will have the opportunity to participate in the talent portion of our show if they so desire. Finally, each participant will be awarded with a title! That's right! Each lady is a winner in our book!
Founders
Caitlyn Gobble founded the Miss Beautiful Pageant for Special Needs in 2013. She is a graduate of Harding University where she studied Event Planning. She continues to make this pageant possible each year and acts as the lead event coordinator for all aspects of the pageant! Find her all year preparing schedules, gathering volunteers and participants, choosing set designs, music, lighting and so much more. Christie Gobble is our co-event coordinator and works closely with our volunteers, all 80 of them! She has put her heart and soul into everything she does for the pageant since year one! Caitlyn and Christie are a mother daughter duo and both aid in making each year a huge success!
Our Host
East Brainerd Church of Christ is located in Chattanooga, TN. From the moment you walk up to the building, you will discover a warm group of real people dedicated to following our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. We would love for you to join us every Sunday for worship at 9:00 as we continue our current sermon series on "Awaken". Children will be invited to attend Wee Worship (ages 3 and 4) and KidzPraise (K-2nd Grade). Following our worship service, we have classes available for all ages!

We also want to add a huge thank you to Amy Marcus who is the Connect Coordinator at East Brainerd! She was a tremendous help in securing sponsors for last year's pageant! We could not have done it without her!

Our all time favorite quote from our 2018 pageant was from a wonderful mother to one of our participants. She said with tears in her eyes, "I have never seen my girls loved on SO well before." I have no doubt that this is all thanks to the wonderful servant hearts that make up this congregation!
